I Ship It

One of those shipping memes that give me an excuse to gush about my favorite pairings. Blank meme can be found here.

Because They're Adorable - Amelia and Delbert (Treasure Planet). Of COURSE they're freakin' adorable - we have a catlike, no-nonsense captain and a doglike, socially awkward scientist, what's not to love? Who can resist going "AWWW" at the end? They're such an underrated couple, but I will forever love them.

Because They're Hot - Han and Leia (Star Wars). I probably could have put them in any of these boxes, but I chose the Hot one because, let's face it, they're hot. The sexual tension is so damn thick in ESB that you can just FEEL it. Plus, watch any of their kisses, any of them. Oooooh yeah.

Because It's Plausible - Harley and Ivy (Batman: The Animated Series). Forget the Joker, these two belong together. They're comfortable around each other and you can definitely imagine that some fooling around goes on. Hell, they hang around each other wearing nothing but t-shirts - of course they've got a thing!

Because They're Alike - Esmeralda and Phoebus (The Hunchback of Notre Dame). I know a lot of people wanted Esmeralda to end up with Quasimodo, but hell, I love her and Phoebus together. Not only does it maintain a bit of the books' bittersweetness, but Esmeralda and Phoebus have so much in common. They're both feisty, they both care deeply about others, and they both believe in fighting injustice.

Because They're Opposites - Te'ijal and Galahad (Aveyond). You may not have heard of the Aveyond games, but they're awesome and one of most awesome things about them is the relationship between the sexy vampire Te'ijal and the stubborn knight Galahad. Ever since she tricked him into marrying her and then turned him into a vampire, they've been at each other in what can best be described as a love/hate relationship, but it's actually a bit more complicated then that. Simply put, you never know what's going to happen next with these two, which is what makes them so interesting.

Because It's Canon - Korra and Asami (The Legend of Korra). It's been three months since the show's finale and I still feel tingly when I think about how they're canon. I loved the pairing before the finale (and saw the signs between them - no whiners, it did NOT spring out of nowhere!), but when it became canon they quickly moved up to being one of my favorite pairings ever. Theirs is a mature relationship based on mutual care and understanding.

Because Of Subtext - Kirk and Spock (Star Trek). Come on, these guys are like, the ORIGINAL slash couple. People have been shipping them for decades and it doesn't look like they'll stop any time soon. Forget Kirk's ten million girlfriends that come and go - SPOCK is the one who's always there for him. I mean, Kirk is the one who cures Spock's desperate need for sex in the "Amok Time" episode - isn't THAT interesting? It can't be denied that they love each other. How far that love goes . . . well, that's up to the fans.

Because of Fanworks - Sherlock and John (Sherlock). I liked the pairing almost from the beginning, but when I looked up the amazing fanarts of them, my love for them grew. I highly recommend browsing Johnlock fanarts if you haven't already. So fucking CUTE. And HOT.

Because I CAN - Ahsoka and Barriss (Star Wars: The Clone Wars). YES I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED IN SEASON 5! Does that stop me from shipping them? NO! I still think they're perfect for each other and I believe that Barriss could possibly redeem herself in some way. Even if she didn't, that can't stop me from imagining that they had a secret relationship before the betrayal.
